After 4 inches of rain Saturday evening, a beautiful week awaits…

Not very often the kids are enjoying the beach and swimming this early.  What perfect weather!

Allison and Dan caught some nice crappies off the dock last night!

After a few days of rain things are coming back to life.  The resort is a beautiful shade of green this time of year.  Birds are singing, geese are flying, and the loons are calling like crazy! 

Dan laying down on the job!  A beautiful day for putting docks in. Almost a whole month earlier than last year.  The ice wasn’t even off the lake last year at this time.

Getting a nice jump on summer repairs.  New shingles on the lakefront cabins this year.

What a difference a day makes! Ice is completely gone in one day.

Wow!  It’s been awhile.  The time has sure slipped by since our last entry.  We are gearing up our preparations for spring cleaning soon.  Hard to believe.  It happens every year - we get a touch of warm weather in March, getting us all excited for spring, and then BAM! the cold wind and cool temperatures are back.  The forecast is looking warmer next week.   We haven’t counted out the possibility of snow yet however.
